XAMPP Control Panel
The XAMPP Control Panel is a tool to configure and start/stop
the modules (Apache, MySQL).

Configuring Services
Within a windows environment the modules should run as Windows Services. This has the advantage that the modules are started automatically after reboot (Startup Type Automatic). By pressing the buttons in the first column (Service) the modules can be installed/uninstalled as Service.
In the Services Console (services.msc) change Startup Type to Automatic.
